Weiguo Zhang

Weiguo Zhang is a Senior Scientist at Actinia. His research focuses on the crystal growth and characterization of halide perovskite compounds for use as hard radiation detector materials. He has a broad background in chemistry and physics, with specific training and expertise in multifunctional crystal growth, process, and characterization. He is adept in variety of crystal growth techniques including Bridgman, Czochralski (Cz method), Top-seeded Solution Growth (TSSG), Optical Floating Zone, and solution methods. Dr. Zhang was a Research Associate in the Halasyamani Group at the University of Houston from 2009-2021, publishing many articles on semiconductor crystals. He received his Ph.D. in Material Physics & Chemistry from the State Key lab of Crystal Materials, Shandong University, China, in 2009.
