Sujita Karki

Research Scientist

Dr. Sujita Karki is a Research Scientist at Actinia, specializing in materials purification, crystal processing, and radiation detector characterization. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Kyungpook National University in South Korea in 2019, then completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University in the group of Prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis, where she focused on perovskite semiconductors. After a year as an independent contractor for Actinia, she became a Research Scientist in 2026.

At Actinia, Dr. Karki synthesizes starting materials and processes cesium lead halide perovskite crystals, cutting, polishing, and testing them to evaluate their performance in next-generation radiation detectors.
