Josh Palmer

Acting Chief Executive Officer

Josh became involved with Actinia through his work at the science-focused venture capital firm Kairos Ventures. He began his career in the startup world as Head of R&D at a JPL biotech company called Verrix, a spin-out from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. Josh holds a Chemistry PhD from Caltech and spent 3 years as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University. His academic publications have been cited nearly 1,000 times, and he holds several issued US patents.

At Actinia, Josh is responsible for managing the company’s finances, interfacing with the research and development team to drive technical progress, growing a stellar team, and developing business opportunities to put the company on a path to rapid growth. He aims to establish Actinia as the premier company for anyone with an interest in sensing radiation.

In his free time, Josh splits his hours between kitchen experimentation and the California mountains.
